Steve talked about creating your own products, why you want to, why you should use ClickBank.  Some comments about the upcoming Info Prodigy product.  (woohoo!)<\/p>\n

Steve talked about writing your products based on your passions, and what you know and like.<\/p>\n

A good question came up\u2026 Should I stick to a niche that has an existing market?  Steve\u2019s response was\u2026 Yes.  But unless you are really weird in your interests, there will be other people out there who have the same interest as you.  You can write something that interests you, that will likely sell.<\/p>\n

Of course\u2026 you do have to have a  good product\u2026 but that\u2019s where Info Prodigy comes in, right?<\/p>\n

Another good point (fits the Paralysis by Analysis concept).  \"Day<\/a><\/p>\n

Your product has to be Market Ready.  NOT Perfect!<\/strong><\/p>\n

Landing Page Cash Machine<\/a> \u2013 good site for doing sales\/landing pages and split testing.<\/p>\n

JV Notify Pro<\/a> \u2013 Place to push out your IM related product to JV opportunities .(not recommended that you get into the IM realm though)<\/p>\n

Affiliate Announcement<\/a> \u2013 Another place to announce your info product.  Doesn\u2019t have to be IM related.<\/p>\n

Here is one of my personal choices for split testing\u2026  ABingo<\/a> \u2013 it is a manual tool you have to install and configure\u2026 but it\u2019s free, and works well.<\/p>\n

10:00 \u2013 Cash Flow and Budgeting<\/strong><\/p>\n

Basics of how to handle your cash flow\u2026 make sure you have the money to pay the bills when they are do.  My personal recommendation, is to go get some of the books or courses from Dave Ramsey<\/a>.  It goes into MUCH more detail than what Steve is showing here.<\/p>\n

Steve basically breaks down your yearly amounts owed (monthly mortgage x 12, car insurance, property taxes, etc) and divides that out by 12 (for each month).  This is now your \u201cMust Pay\u201d balance.  After you pay that, any money left is to be used for other expenditures.<\/p>\n

Consult a tax person.<\/strong>  Personally I\u2019ve had good luck with June Walker<\/a>.  She also has a good book for doing taxes as an \u201cIndie\u201d.  Someone who is independently employed – Self-employed Tax Solutions<\/a> <\/p>\n

Steve highly recommends becoming an LLC.  Easier in many aspects.<\/p>\n

10:15 \u2013 Traffic \u2013 AdWords<\/strong><\/p>\n

Some good discussions on using AdWords.  Google appears to wholesale dislike certain niches.  Regardless of your content or methods.<\/p>\n

If you get your domain slapped via AdWords, that domain is no longer viable.  Don\u2019t use it for AdWords anymore\u2026 even if it\u2019s a new niche, new content, etc.  <\/p>\n

11:30 \u2013 Traffic \u2013 Facebook, MySpace<\/strong><\/p>\n

Facebook is NOT the new internet.  Facebook is interrupt driven market.    You put up ads and try to interrupt the user to get them to buy.<\/p>\n

One thing to note, is that visitors don\u2019t go posting on FB walls asking \u201cwhere is the best place to buy a Nikon D 40\u201d.  They go to google to do that.  So Facebook and MySpace aren\u2019t going to replace google.  But there are some great demographics opportunities in FB that you can then target with an ad.<\/p>\n

You may not want to try to sell directly on Facebook\u2026 you want to try to build a relationship (opt-in, free info, etc).  After you have the relationship\u2026 then you can sell to them.<\/p>\n
